Ένοπλος άνοιξε πυρ σήμερα στο πανεπιστήμιο Old Dominion (ODU) στο Νόρφολκ, στη Βιρτζίνια των ΗΠΑ, τραυματίζοντας δύο ανθρώπους προτού τον πυροβολήσουν και πέσει νεκρός, όπως ανακοίνωσε το εκπαιδευτικό ίδρυμα και μεταδίδει το Reuters.

Σύμφωνα με την ενημέρωση από το πανεπιστήμιο, ο ένοπλος άνοιξε πυρ στις 10:49 το πρωί (τοπική ώρα, 16:49 στην Ελλάδα) στο κτίριο Constant Hall του ODU.

Οι τραυματίες διακομίστηκαν σε νοσοκομείο, ενώ ανεστάλη κάθε δραστηριότητα στην πανεπιστημιούπολη. Στο ODU οι εγγεγραμμένοι φοιτητές ανέρχονται σε 24.000, σύμφωνα με τον ιστότοπο του πανεπιστημίου.
